The Customs and Excise Division, together with the Port Authority and PLIPDECO, has announced temporary measures to manage vessel traffic at the Port of Port of Spain between October 22nd and 30th.

To minimize delays to importers and exporters, vessels and cargo are being redirected and processed at the Port of Point Lisas, where extended gate hours and additional Customs officers have been put in place to ensure smooth operations.

Officials say the collaboration between both ports aims to maintain efficient cargo handling, documentation, and trade flow during the period.

The arrangement remains in effect until October 30th, with continuous updates to be issued as normal operations resume at the Port of Port of Spain.
