West Indies captain Shai Hope has turned his attention to the T20I series against Bangladesh after losing the ODI series to the hosts on Thursday in Mirpur.

The visitors lost the 3rd ODI by 179 runs, and the series 2-1.

“We got a T20 series coming up on a different surface in Chattogram, so we need to forget the past, take a few lessons from our mistakes, and then come back strongly for the next one,” Hope said.

“We have to make sure we come here to win games, we need to get to the ground, see what the surface is like, adapt, assess, and hopefully can play better cricket in that series,” he added.

The pitch at Mirpur has come under scrutiny for its assistance to the home bowlers.

Hope said regardless of the surface, and the way the opposition bowled, his team had to adapt.

“Reguardless of what they’re bowling, we’ve got to try to find a way to make runs/ If the bowlers didn’t do it in a particular situation, a batter has to raise their hands, and we didn’t do that today,” he said.

The 1st T20I is on Monday at Chattogram.
