Hope century not enough to save Windies from New Zealand defeat

The West Indies fell to New Zealand by five wickets in today’s second ODI in Napier, giving the hosts an unassailable series lead.

Batting first, the Windies posted 247 for 9, with captain Shai Hope anchoring the innings with an unbeaten century.

However, New Zealand comfortably chased the target in 33.3 overs, losing only five wickets.

The final ODI bowls off on Friday at 9PM T&T time.

Following this, the teams face each other in three Test matches.
