Fighting between Israel and Iran has intensified on the seventh day of the conflict.

Residents in Tehran say the latest overnight attacks were the worst so far as Israel launched fresh strikes, while Iran fired new missiles toward Israel.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain say they intercepted attacks overnight.

U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says American strikes on Iran could soon increase.

“The amount of firepower over Iran and over Tehran is about to surge dramatically,” he said at a briefing on Thursday.

He added that the UK decision to allow the US to use the Diego Garcia military base would help Washington intensify attacks.

“It was unfortunate that the Brits didn’t from day one say, ‘Hey, go ahead and have access,’” Hegseth said. “But we got there.”
