Despite being aware of the protest by nurses at the Sangre Grande hospital earlier today, the Minister of Health says the government is unaware of any impasse with nurses.
The association representing workers has been vocal about compensation, especially Government’s move to standardise pool rates.
In today’s Parliament sitting, Dr. Lackram Bodoe was asked about the plan to prevent service disruption across hospitals.
Dr. Bodoe says the government remains committed to working with all healthcare professionals, including nurses, to improve both the quality of services and well-being of healthcare workers.
