The Met Service has issued a Hazardous Seas Alert, which will come into effect from 5AM tomorrow, Wednesday 25th and continue until 9AM on Saturday February 28th.
Large, long period, northerly swells are expected along exposed the northern shores, including some north-facing areas of the Gulf of Paria.
These conditions present the possibility of saltwater intrusion and sand being displaced beyond normal levels.
Persons are urged to be cautious as this could also disrupt fishing, swimming and small boat activities, especially during high tide.
