Members of the Government have rallied around Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar following remarks from former Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.
Dr Rowley referred to the PM using a derogatory term, as he responded to her accusation that Balisier House was built with drug money.
St Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen believes such comments set a bad example for men and boys.
Also commenting is Oropouche West MP, Dr Lackram Bodoe, who says while political differences and disagreements are healthy, these must be expressed through reasoned debate, facts, and respectful engagement.
Meanwhile, Couva South MP Barry Padarath believes the comment demonstrates “spite, vulgarity and a complete absence of decency”.
