Government has announced an increase in the number of bursaries awarded under the National Bursary Programme in 2024.
277 bursaries were awarded in 2023, while 280 were awarded in 2022.
In 2024, 345 have been granted, an increase of 65 additional awards.
According to the Tertiary Education Ministry, this year’s awards represent an investment of nearly $52 million.
300 recipients have so far indicated their acceptance of the award, with 115 students already submitting the required documentation for their National Bursary Agreement.
The remaining 45 recipients have until October 30th 2025, to confirm their interest.
60% of the recipients are female, while 40% are male.
