The Government has approved a longer July/August Vacation From 2025, following a recommendation from the Education Ministry.
The vacation break will be extended from seven to eight weeks, while maintaining the full 39 teaching weeks across the three terms.
Minister Dr Michael Dowlath said this adjustment supports examination readiness, infrastructure upgrades and staffing needs without reducing the teaching time.
The new academic year is scheduled to begin on September 8th, term two on January 6th and Term three on April 13th.
