Four people have been arrested following a bar compliance and enforcement exercise in the South Trinidad yesterday.
Bars were targeted for breaches of the Liquor Licences Act and illegal gambling activities.
In Siparia, a 36-year-old female bar operator and a 40-year-old male proprietor were arrested for keeping common gaming houses.
Notices were issued for outstanding gaming revenue totalling 66 thousand dollars, related to amusement gaming machines found at their establishments.
In Penal, a 42-year-old bar manager and a 38-year-old man were also arrested.
Authorities discovered a roulette table and several amusement gaming machines. Revenue notices exceeding 420 thousand dollars were issued, and more than 214 thousand dollars in cash was seized.
