The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service says four men have been arrested and a firearm with ammunition seized during an intelligence-led operation in Arima.
The operation, carried out between 2 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday 24th February, involved officers from the Northern Division North, including the Arima Charge Room and Intelligence Units, and was led by ACP Singh and senior officers.
During a street-check, a white Mitsubishi wagon attempted to evade police, leading to a pursuit and the arrest of four suspects.
A subsequent search in Malabar, Arima, uncovered a 9mm Glock pistol with a magazine containing 14 rounds of ammunition.
The scene was processed by the Northern Division Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and investigations are ongoing.
