Forty Tobagonians received grants at a distribution ceremony held by the National Commission for Self Help on Monday.
Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Farley Augustine said the grants provided help to strengthen families, improve mental and emotional well-being, and support better educational outcomes.
Mr Augustine said the Commission was established in 1987 by Prime Minsiter Arthur N. R. Robinson to encourage entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
He said the National Commission for Self Help continues to make a meaningful impact on society.
