The Government has extended the use of the former Coat of Arms until January 2, 2031, following an order issued under the National Emblems (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2025.
The extension, signed by Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander, was announced in a legal notice yesterday.
Originally, the law set a deadline of January 2026 for the former emblem’s use, but the new order allows it to remain he period for an additional five years.
The redesign, announced in August 2024 by former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, replaces the three ships with a gold steelpan.
