The Flava Food Village has made a strong and successful debut on the Carnival 2026 calendar, drawing large crowds and positive public response.
Culture Minister Michelle Benjamin hailed the village as “nothing short of incredible” praising the initiative during Patrice Roberts’’ free concert at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
The Ministry of Culture and the National Carnival Commission credited teamwork, planning and innovation for the village’s success.
“The opportunity given to members of the public to enjoy such a performance at no cost, the open stage for both our breakout and veteran artistes, the economic benefits to our local vendors and the unmatched display of our vulture and community is the result of innovation and hard work by the new NCC Board, my Ministry and our Carnival stakeholders,” Minister Benjamin stated in a media release.
Flava Food Village provides free entertainment; showcasing local artistes, and delivers economic benefits to vendors, while celebrating Trinidad and Tobago’s culture.
The Ministry encouraged the public to continue attending Flava Food Village events, and reminded that it offers food, entertainment, children’s activities, and artisan shopping as Carnival 2026 builds toward its climax.
