European stock markets have fallen again, following sharp losses in Asia, as global investors worry over the economic fallout from the ongoing conflict.

London’s FTSE 100 dropped more than 2% to 9,706, its lowest since December, while Germany’s DAX and France’s CAC 40 are down around 2%.

In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei lost 3.5% and South Korea’s Kospi plunged 6.5%.

Analysts say escalating tensions over the Strait of Hormuz are fueling market jitters, with hopes for a quick resolution fading.
