The Education Ministry says it is aware of concerns about the possible presence of rodents at the El Socorro Government Primary School.
However, it cannot confirm or refute claims related to circulating video footage, noting it may have been recorded before preventative baiting and sanitation measures were conducted.
A release from the Ministry said mitigation efforts were conducted in collaboration with the Regional Corporation, while School Supervision is engaging with staff and MTS personnel to assess the current situation.
It adds that the school’s principal has also engaged the owner of an adjacent vacant lot to support coordinated upkeep of the surrounding area.
