Dr Michael Dowlath has extended congratulations and gratitude to 17 principals who have retired from the Teaching Service.
The Education Minister delivered the feature address at a Retirees Valedictory Function for the retired principals on Saturday at Presentation College, Chaguanas.
The event was held by held by the Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools Trinidad and Tobago.
“To our retirees, I want you to continue to serve as ambassadors, reach out to your communities. You are known for the work you have done and I want you to continue to lead, wherever your path in life takes you,” Dr Dowlath said.
Mr. Crystal Ashe, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Union (TTUTA), and Mr. Walter Stewart, President of the National Parent Teachers Association (NPTA) were among the guests who attended.
“The Ministry of Education joins with the APPSST&T in honoring the hard work, commitment and legacy of our principals and acting principals who have demonstrated their dedication to ensuring that every child can learn,” a statement from the Ministry read.
