Drugs, guns, ammo seized, robbery suspects arrested in weekend police operations

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service carried out a series of anti-crime operations across all divisions on Saturday.

In the Western Division, officers under Operation Trident arrested five suspects in Diego Martin linked to recent robberies.

In the Central Division, police recovered a stolen Nissan Tiida, seized a gun, and confiscated over marijuana, with seven people arrested, including an illegal immigrant.

The Southern Division also saw major activity, with officers intercepting 1.2 kilograms of cannabis, seizing a pistol and bullets, and arresting multiple suspects for drug and immigration offences.

Meanwhile, in the Northern Division there were several arrests for firearms, ammunition, gambling, and other offences, alongside traffic enforcement.
