Football legend David Beckham has been knighted for his services to the sport and British society.
The 50-year-old received the honour from the King at a royal residence earlier today.
Beckham made his Premier League debut for Manchester United in 1995, winning six league titles, two FA Cups, and the Champions League.
He later played for Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan, and PSG, earning 115 England caps before retiring in 2013.
Known for his precise free kicks and crosses, Beckham also became one of the most commercially successful athletes of his era.
