As Carnival approaches, Couva police officers took to the streets yesterday as part of Operation Festive Shield.
Officers engaged residents, vendors, and business owners along Couva’s main road, focusing on public safety and crime prevention.
They reminded the public about laws on glass bottles, handed out safety flyers, checked in with bars on cash management, and encouraged responsible celebrations.
The initiative highlights the Central Division’s commitment to community partnership, early engagement, and keeping the Carnival season safe and incident-free.
