Two NGO—Rapid Fire Kids Foundation and Unity—brought Christmas cheer to the Barrackpore community on Wednesday.
Foundation president Kevin Ratiram, dressed as Santa, distributed gifts to more than 300 children.
He said that every child deserves support, regardless of race or nationality.
Mr Ratiram said the initiative aims to lift spirits and brighten the season for families most in need.
