Charges have been laid against 11 persons held after being intercepted by the T&T Coast Guard off the Erin coast on April 3rd, 2026.
The group was detained during a coordinated maritime operation and subsequently handed over to police.
The TTPS says fpllowing investigations and legal guidance, charges have been laid for immigration-related offences.
Those held are between the ages of 19 and 44, eight males and three females, and are allegedly Venezuelans.
Nine are being charged with Illegal Entry and two are being charged with Illegal Entry and Aiding and Abetting.
