Cabinet has officially rejected the Regulated Industries Commission’s recommendations for increased electricity rates.
This announcement came from Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath at this evening’s post Cabinet media briefing.
This means there will be no increase in electricity rates at this time, which Mr Padarath says is in keeping with the Government’s policy.
RIC completed a revision to electricity rates following a series of public consultations in 2023.
