The T&T Securities and Exchange Commission is warning the public about a fraudulent online cryptocurrency scheme operating under the name Stable Rowdex.
A statement today confirmed that the scheme is using AI-generated videos and fake endorsements from public figures, including the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, to deceive potential investors.
The entity behind Stable Rowdex is not registered with the TTSEC and is not authorized to offer investment products in Trinidad and Tobago.
The public is advised to be cautious of unsolicited investment offers, especially those promising high returns, and to verify the legitimacy of any related communications.
