Bathers at Las Cuevas Beach were forced out of the water after a mysterious fin was spotted close to swimmers.
Video circulating online shows a dorsal fin cutting through the water, as lifeguards urgently signalled for people to get to safety.
It’s still unclear whether the fin belonged to a shark or a dolphin, as both can appear similar from a distance.
The incident, shared by the Las Cuevas Eco-Friendly Association, caused a brief scare, though no injuries were reported.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
