The Barbados Canada Association celebrated Barbados’ 59th Independence with a glamorous gala at Toronto’s Parkview Manor.

Guests enjoyed a stylish cocktail hour, a three-course dinner, and inspiring speeches from BCA Vice-President Reeva Goodman and Consul General Anthony Branker, highlighting the island’s achievements and the diaspora’s ongoing contributions.

Entertainment included soulful performances by Kristin Lasonta, high-energy soca by Terencia “T.C.” Coward, and the dynamic return of 2 Mile Hill, lighting up the dancefloor.

The event also raised funds for the Department of Emergency Management and the Albert Cecil Graham Development Centre.

The gala showcased Barbadian pride, unity, and cultural heritage, reinforcing strong ties between Barbados and Canada.
