A woman flying from Jamaica to New York gave birth while in the air on-board a Caribbean Airlines flight.
According to a brief statement from CAL, the “medical event” occurred on April 4th on Flight BW005, with no emergency declared during the flight.
The baby was born enroute, with both mother and baby later attended to by medical personnel upon arrival.
CAL also congratulated the flight’s crew, saying they “managed the situation in accordance with established procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of all onboard.”
