There are currently 324 Trinidad and Tobago nationals living in four Middle Eastern countries.
And, according to Attorney General John Jeremie, measures are being taken regarding their safety, as military action involving several countries continues in the region.
He was at the time responding to a question in the Parliament from Opposition Leader, Pennelope Beckles-Robinson, on steps to evacuate or assist citizens if the situation worsens.
Mr Jeremie, who is acting as Foreign Affairs Minister, said Government has also engaged in discussions with the UK and India, with work continuing to arrange safe passage should emergency evacuations become necessary.
