The American Foundation for The University of the West Indies has announced that A. Norman Sabga will receive its Leadership Award at its annual scholarship gala in New York on April 17.
The ANSA McAL Group will also be honoured with the Corporate Leadership Award for its contributions to regional development and education.
“Dr. Sabga and the ANSA McAL Group exemplify the intersection of leadership, enterprise and social responsibility,” said Cyrus McCalla, chairman of the AFUWI board. “Their investment in education and human development has created opportunities for generations.”
AFUWI says the awards recognise strong leadership and investment in human capital across the Caribbean.
The gala raises funds to support scholarships for students facing financial challenges across the region.
