A 78-year-old shopkeeper and his 49-year-old common-law wife have been held for drug possession.
Around 2:25pm yesterday, officers went to Blue’s Mini Mart in Mt. Lambert following information regarding the sale of narcotics to school children.
A comprehensive search resulted in the discovery of approximately 1,097 grams of cannabis.
Both were arrested for Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 27-year-old man was held in Valencia for possession of a gun and ammunition.
During a joint roving road check and exercise duty yesterday afternoon, officers went to Cumaca Extension where they seized an apparent homemade shotgun and three apparent 12-gauge cartridges.
