There are now 49 medical interns, who will be placed at hospitals across the country, to help boost capacity in the public healthcare system.
At an orientation ceremony at the Ministry of Health, Minister Lackram Bodoe urged the interns to prioritise empathy and teamwork as they transition into professional practice.
He stressed the importance of working closely with nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Dr Bodoe also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the health system through digital upgrades and policy reform.
