A man has been arrested after over $180,000 in electrical cables was stolen from the home of former President Anthony Carmona in Siparia.
The man was charged with the offence of larceny and is expected to appear in court later this week.
Police arrested the men in Dassent Trace, however his two accomplices escaped.
President Carmona said his property at Robert Hill, Siparia, has been burglarized several.
He said 50 meters of 3×95 black XLP cable and 170 meters of 3×35 XLP black electrical cables were stolen.
The cables were installed underground, and the thieves removed some concrete covering to remove it,
Previously, President Carmona lost copper wiring to his air-conditioning units, a stove top, and a 1,000-gallon water tank.
