Cricket West Indies says the match schedule for next year’s T20 World Cup will be finalized and released in the coming weeks.

This statement follows suggestions that Barbados had successfully bid to host the final of the tournament.

However, CWI CEO Johnny Grave says after selecting seven Caribbean venues, the board has made recommendations to the ICC on how matches should be allocated.

He emphasizes that final decisions are yet to be made and notes that CWI is working with the ICC, the hosts and ICC members to finalize the schedule.

The T20 World Cup will be hosted in the West Indies and United States in June 2024.

Games will be hosted by Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, St Lucia, St Vincent & The Grenadines and T&T in the Caribbean and Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida and Nassau County in New York.
