Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has congratulated India on 78 years of Independence, praising its rise as a global leader and economic powerhouse.
In a statement on behalf of T&T, she called India’s progress “a triumph of the human spirit”, noting their accomplishments across many sectors, including technology, industry, commerce, space, academia and agriculture.
She also highlighted the strengthened ties between both countries following Prime Minister Modi’s recent visit.
T&T will benefit from strategic relations with India on a wide number of core matters, including healthcare, food production, technology, culture, and people-to-people ties.
