The West Indies Under-19 team begins a crucial seven-match Youth ODI series against England on Sunday in Grenada, marking an important phase in their preparation for the 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup.
Head coach Rohan Nurse says the team is building on the resilience shown in their recent 4–3 series win over Sri Lanka, noting improvements in intensity, consistency, and role clarity across batting, bowling, and fielding.
Three changes have been made to the squad: DeShawn James returns from injury, while Kunal Tilokani and Tanez Francis join after strong Under-17 performances.
Several players who toured Sri Lanka remain in the wider World Cup pool.
Nurse says the England series will test the squad’s readiness and help deepen professionalism within the group ahead of final World Cup selection.
The seven Youth ODIs will be played from 16 November to 1 December.
