Researchers from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, have once again been named among the top 2% of cited scientists worldwide, according to the 2025 global ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier.
Honoured this year are six UWI researchers, including Dr. Mandreker Bahall, Professor Christopher Oura, and Dr. Sephra Rampersad, recognised for their impactful work in medicine, veterinary virology, biochemistry, engineering, pathology, and renewable energy.
The ranking, based on citations and influence across 22 scientific fields, highlights the University’s ongoing contributions to advancing research, innovation, and solutions to regional and global challenges.
