The University of the West Indies is teaming up with leading medical associations to host the Caribbean Epilepsy Conference this Saturday in St. Augustine.
The one-day event, held at the UWI Inn and Conference Centre, runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and brings together regional specialists to improve epilepsy care through clinical updates, simulation training and policy discussions.
International experts from Canada and the United States, including Dr. Dang Nguyen, Dr. Dave Clarke and Dr. Morris Scantlebury, will share the latest research and best practices.
Organisers say the conference aims to align Caribbean treatment with global standards set by the World Health Organization.
