UWI’s Blood Donor Foundation hopes to surpass one-hundred pints of blood at its 35th Voluntary Non-Remunerated Blood Drive this Saturday.
The foundation says this year’s goal follows the success of the previous drives, where 68 voluntary pints of blood were collected, adding that every donation of whole blood can save up to three lives.
Prospective donors are asked to pre-register ahead of the event, which is scheduled to take place at the Mt Hope Hospital Blood Bank from 8AM to 4PM.
