The US Embassy is urging visa holders to follow American laws, stressing that a US visa is a privilege, not a right.
Visa chief Mike Mitchell made the announcement yesterday in a video posted to the US Embassy’s social media.
Meanwhile, last week Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said on X, the Government had no role in US decisions regarding its visa or immigration policies.
She emphasized, however, that her administration stands firm against dangerous criminals and fully supports the United States and other international partners in efforts to combat dismantle criminal networks targeting citizens.
