U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has congratulated Cameroonian President Paul Biya on his inauguration during a call on Monday.
According to a readout from the State Department, the two leaders discussed strengthening the partnership between the United States and Cameroon, focusing on shared priorities such as security cooperation, regional stability, and economic prosperity.
Secretary Rubio also praised Cameroon for its role in counter-terrorism efforts, noting the country’s continued partnership in promoting peace across the region.
