US President Donald Trump has announced a new visa system to expedite the requests of FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket holders.

During a briefing at the White House yesterday, the President made the announcement for the new FIFA prioritized appointment scheduling system.

BBC News reported that State Secretary Marco Rubio also clarified that ticket-holders will not be automatically granted a tourist visa.

He said foreign nationals with World Cup tickets could get an expedited interview, within six to eight weeks of applying.

The 2026 men’s World Cup will be co-hosted across North America, with Mexico and Canada, with most matches played in the United States, from June 11th to July 19th.
