Gaza Famine

The United Nations says no areas in Gaza are currently under famine, following improved humanitarian and commercial access after the October ceasefire.

According to a UN release, the situation still remains critical as more than three-quarters of the population still facing acute hunger and malnutrition.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres says even though progress has been made, the gains are fragile and could quickly be reversed if aid access is disrupted or fighting resumes.
