UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged the United States and Venezuela to exercise restraint and immediately de-escalate rising tensions.
Reuters reported that he has called on all parties to engage in dialogue and work toward a peaceful resolution.
His spokesperson said both countries must honour their obligations under international law, including the UN Charter, to safeguard peace and stability in the region.
