In San Fernando, a police operation yesterday led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Picton Settlement, Diamond Village, after a firearm, ammunition, and cocaine intended for trafficking were seized.
The “Operation Trident” exercise targeted high-crime areas and priority offenders, running from 2 to 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, in Port of Spain, quick-thinking officers saved a man experiencing a suspected heart attack along Broadway.
Drawing on recent first aid training, PC Gervais and a passing EMT administered CPR for nearly 20 minutes, stabilizing the patient before transporting him to Port of Spain General Hospital.
Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro praised the officers for their swift and lifesaving actions.
