The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service says a recent incident circulating on social media involving Special Branch and Central Division officers occurred during a joint intelligence-led operation.
According to the TTPS, two operational units responded simultaneously based on the urgency and sensitivity of the intelligence received.
Authorities assured the public that safety was never compromised and that all officers involved remain on duty.
The Service reminded citizens and media to verify information with official TTPS sources before sharing reports.
They added this should be done especially during the ongoing State of Emergency, to prevent misinformation and ensure public safety.
