The Housing Ministry will provide temporary accommodation for 14 persons left homeless by a fire at Fort Picton, Laventille.
The Ministry says assistance was requested by Laventille West MP Kareem Marcelle, following the blaze which destroyed two homes.
According to the Ministry, temporary housing accommodation will be provided by the HDC at a nearby housing development.
Keys were handed over today by Minister in the Housing Ministry, Phillip Alexander.
The Ministry and HDC will also collaborate with other entities to provide further assistance to the families, where possible.
