A 39-year-old spiritual advisor was shot dead in Carapichaima last night.
Around 9:45pm, officers responded to a report of a person shot in a vehicle at Opal Avenue, Waterloo.
On arrival, officers found Prakash Bissessar with a gunshot wound to the back of the neck.
He was in the driver’s seat of a white Nissan Note – the car’s engine was on and lights illuminated, with the front and rear right side windows smashed.
Also in the vehicle was a 33-year-old woman, who had been shot in the abdomen.
Both were taken to hospital, where Bissessar was pronounced dead.
Enquiries revealed that both victims were using a live location on WhatsApp to locate a person to provide spiritual assistance when they were shot.
Investigations are continuing.
