Sri Lanka stormed to a 105-run victory over Oman at the T20 World Cup on Thursday, powered by a record-breaking knock from Captain Dasun Shanaka.
Shanaka blasted a 19-ball half-century — the fastest ever by a Sri Lankan in T20 internationals — smashing five sixes on his way to 50. Kusal Mendis made 61 and Pavan Rathnayake added 60 as Sri Lanka posted a tournament-best 225 for five.
Oman struggled in reply, finishing on 120 for nine, with Maheesh Theekshana taking two for 11.
Sri Lanka now has two wins from two matches in Group B.
