Selwyn John won the King of the Rock title at the NCC National Stickfighting Competition on Monday night in Moruga.
The Rio Claro fighter fought off all opponents, including his nephew, Anderson Marcano in the final, to win the title.
John also beat favourite Oniel Odle in a heated battle on his way to the title.
John captained the Rio Claro Gayelle to the 3 vs 3 format Gayelle title, with Odle’s Gladiators in second place, and Spartans No Retreat No Surrender in third.
