Rishi Gayadeen has been recognized for his 40 years of service to Trinidad and Tobago’s music scene.
A commemorative plaque was presented to the RG Band leader last night by Oropouche East MP and Energy Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal.
It presentation was made during RG Musical Journey: The Concert, held yesterday at SAPA.
In a statement, Dr. Moonilal praised Mr Gayadeen and RG The Band as having “anchored an iconic sound that’s resonated across the global diaspora, bringing joy to hundreds of thousands for over four decades.”
He also paid tribute to Capil Gayadeen, the patriarch of the Gayadeen family “whose vision built this movement of togetherness.”
